Kenner, La. - Kenner officials performed a code enforcement sweep Tuesday in the 3200, 3300, 3400 blocks of Arkansas Street and California Avenue and in the 3400 block of Arizona Avenue resulted in 56 citations being issued to property owners for items ranging from poor exterior maintenance of buildings to high grass, weeds and litter in yards

Kenner officials met at 9:00 am on the playground at 33rd Street and Arkansas Street before launching into the adjacent neighborhood

Assistant Code Enforcement Director Missy Heyl said citations were issued as follows:

16 Maintenance to exterior structure (doors, windows, fascia, porches)

1 Substandard dwelling below code

5 Substandard accessory building below code

6 Plumbing violations

3 Mechanical violations

3 Electrical violations

17 high grass/weeds/litter

4 abandoned vehicles

1 fence repair
