Kenner, La. - Kenner officials performed a code enforcement sweep Tuesday in the 3200, 3300, 3400 blocks of Arkansas Street and California Avenue and in the 3400 block of Arizona Avenue resulted in 56 citations being issued to property owners for items ranging from poor exterior maintenance of buildings to high grass, weeds and litter in yards
Kenner officials met at 9:00 am on the playground at 33rd Street and Arkansas Street before launching into the adjacent neighborhood |

Kenner, La. - On September 29, 2009, at approximately 4:35 pm, Kenner Police Officers responded to a residential fire at 1118 Roosevelt Boulevard. Officers arrived on scene to find the home engulfed in flames and the doors and windows to the residence were secured. Kenner Fire Department extinguished the fire and officers made entry into the home. Sue Robichaux, age 70, was found inside the home unresponsive. Preliminary findings do not suggest any type of foul play.

WILLIAM J. HUBBARD, a/k/a Bill Hubbard, age 47, a resident of LaPlace, Louisiana, pled guilty in federal court today to a one count Bill of Information filed on August 26, 2009. Standing before United States District Judge Jay C. Zainey, HUBBARD entered a guilty plea to conspiracy to solicit and receive bribes in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Sections 371 and 666, announced United States Attorney Jim Letten and David Welker, Special Agent in Charge, FBI New Orleans Field Division.
HUBBARD had previously been charged in a sealed Bill of Information which was unsealed yesterday. |
