Should Kenner Issue Scrip's?

Many Cities Around the Country are Issuing Local Currency to Spur the Economy

I have read and heard Kenner Officials complaining about the loss of sales tax revenue due to the decline in the economy.

Perhaps Kenner could do what other cities around the country are doing and start issuing scrip's.

NO NO NO I'm not suggesting henner get into the pharmecutical business but this would be a win win situation for the City Government, Local Economy, Kenner Businesses and Consumers.

Indictments Announced in Major Mortgage Fraud Scheme


Federal law enforcement officials discuss ongoing efforts to combat mortgage fraud in region

Sacramento, CA. - U.S. Attorney McGregor W. Scott; FBI Special Agent in Charge Drew Parenti; and Internal Revenue Service Criminal Investigation Special Agent in Charge Scott O’Briant announced today the indictment of 19 individuals for mortgage fraud-related offenses under Operation Homewrecker. The leader of this nationwide scam is Charles Head, 33, of Los Angeles, California, who targeted homeowners in dire financial straits, fraudulently obtaining title to over 100 homes and stole millions of dollars through fraudulently obtained loans and mortgages.

“Kenner Police investigate murder”

Kenner, La. - On Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at 7:02 p.m., Kenner Police responded to a call of multiple gunshots in the 2500 block of Illinois Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found Corey Lewis, age 19, of Kenner, unresponsive in a driveway. Preliminary findings suggest that Corey was shot once in the back of the head.
