Monday Ribbon Cutting to Dedicate Concession Facility
A new concession, lavatory and general service facility formally goes into service at Kenner’s Butch Duhe Playground, 1930 10th Street, with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 6 p.m. Monday, August 3. The new two-story, 2,048 square-foot facility replaces an outdated concession building that no longer met community needs.

Group Donates Animal Oxygen Masks to Fire Department
The Associated Specialty Clubs of New Orleans annual show for five specialty breeds of dogs continues through Sunday at the Pontchartrain Center in Kenner. The show, put on by a conglomeration of clubs devoted to specialty dog breeds, is sanctioned annually by the Louisiana Kennel Club. Featured breeds at this year’s show include Bulldogs, Irish Setters, Cocker Spaniels, Poodles and Boxers.
